If you participated in a tournament or Pokémon League, and you received a Player ID card, you do not have to wait for the Tournament Organizer or League Organizer to register your participation. To add your Player ID to your Pokémon Trainer Central account profile, simply enter your new Player ID and PIN on the Play! Pokémon Settings tab of your Profile page.
Once the Tournament Organizer or League Organizer records your event participation, you will see the updated information on the My Play! Pokémon page.
Parent/Child Accounts
If you are a parent of a child who participates in Play! Pokémon, you will need to add the information for the child.
- Sign in to your (the parent) account and select the name of the child whose Play! Pokémon information you wish to add.
- Select Play! Pokémon Settings, then enter your child’s Player ID and PIN.
- Review and agree to the Terms of Use, then select Sign Up.
- To permit your child to receive benefits such as rankings and player rewards, you will also need to add a physical address to your child’s account. This information will be kept private and used only by The Pokémon Company International to contact you.
Player ID Cards with No PIN
Some older Player ID cards do not have a PIN on them. These cards are still valid. If you received one of these cards, enter the Player ID on the Play! Pokémon Settings tab and leave the PIN field blank. Please note that if you do not provide a PIN, you will not be able to add your Player ID to your Pokémon Trainer Central profile until the Tournament Organizer or League Organizer has reported your event participation. This usually happens within five to seven days after the event. If you still cannot add your Player ID more than seven days after the event, please contact the Organizer who gave it to you for help. If this is not possible, contact Pokémon customer support for assistance.
